Our story
Good work, fairly paid, for skilled hands.
We started Purlkrosia to create steady, fairly paid work for people who crochet.
Plenty of people crochet beautifully, in small towns and big cities alike. Most of them earn little or nothing from it, or get work that pays very little for long, hard hours.
At Purlkrosia, one maker makes each piece at home, from start to finish. We pay for the hours it takes, so nobody has to rush. Our prices are set so we can keep paying that way.
That is why our flowers cost more than machine-made ones. They take hours to make, and those hours are paid properly.

How it works

Yarn goes to the maker
We send yarn and patterns to our makers, so they can work from home.

One maker makes the piece
Every petal, leaf and stem is crocheted by hand, at the maker's own pace.

Paid for the hours
We pay by the hour, not by the piece, so taking care is never a loss.

We check it and send it to you
Each piece is checked, packed as a gift and shipped across India.

Our prices are higher than mass-made crochet because each piece takes hours, and we pay for those hours properly.
